Traveling along scenic Route 100 about 8 miles north of Mount Snow, you will arrive in the small village of Wardsboro, settled in 1779. Nestled in between two of the Southern Vermont's most recognized ski areas, Stratton Mountain Resort and Mount Snow, Wardsboro is an idyllic New England town. Wardsboro offers a strong sense of community to all its residents, both year round and part time. The town boasts one of the listed exemplary elementary schools in Vermont as a result of students' high scores on proficiency tests. The current principal was named 2014 Vermont Elementary Principal of the year. The Wardsboro General Store is the heart of the community as is the Wardsboro library. Wardsboro is also known for its 4th of July parade and street fair featuring floats, antique cars, marching bands, and more.

Whitingham

The town of Whitingham is comprised of Whitingham and the village of Jacksonville. Known for scenic vistas and large country estates, Whitingham is a piece of the country life, just minutes from Wilmington.
